Our Mission
Rise Above It All is a Dallas-based nonprofit dedicated to helping women, children, and families escape homelessness and build stable lives. We believe every person deserves a safe place to call home, and that with the right support, anyone can find their footing again.
Founded in 2010 by a group of Dallas community advocates, we have served hundreds of families through emergency shelter, transitional housing, and comprehensive case management programs.
Our focus is primarily on women and children, though we welcome anyone in need. We provide not just a roof, but the tools, resources, and human connection that make lasting change possible.
How We Help
A full continuum of care that meets families where they are.
Housing Assistance
We connect families with rental assistance programs, deposit support, and long-term housing placement to help them find and keep a stable home.
Emergency Shelter
Safe, immediate shelter for women and children in crisis. Our doors are open and our team is ready to help, day or night.
Case Management
Each client is paired with a dedicated case manager who creates a personalized stability plan and walks alongside them every step of the way.
Community Support
We connect families to food, clothing, healthcare, childcare, and job training resources throughout the Dallas area.
Stories of Hope
Real words from the families we've had the privilege to serve.
“I came here with nothing but my kids and a suitcase. The team helped us find an apartment, get the kids back in school, and gave me the courage to start over. I owe them everything.”

“The case manager they assigned me was kind and patient. She helped me figure out benefits I didn't even know I qualified for. Within two months, we had our own place.”

“I was scared to ask for help. The staff never made me feel judged. They treated me with real respect and helped me put together a plan I could actually follow.”
